Travel

I haven’t travelled all that much in Europe (though I did live for a while in Germany and the Netherlands, as well as mainly in the UK) and only a little elsewhere, but working in China gave me opportunities to explore some very different places in East Asia.

Having a Kenyan friend in the Netherlands led me to visiting that fascinating country a couple of times – and not completely as a tourist.

Working visits to the USA

I worked for a Canadian company in the UK, which was bought by an American company, which forced through a relocation to the Netherlands, which was a good move for me, although I was on a secondment in Munich, Germany, at the time. After a few years in the Netherlands, I was promoted to a position which meant travelling every quarter for meetings in the western USA (California and Oregon).
